New Prestige Classes

Magefoil

The Magefoil knows that the most powerful influence in battle is magic. She also knows that magic provides the means to neutralize magic. A mage with no magic is at a loss, unbalanced, and at the mercy of the blade. The Magefoil dabbles in antimagic and specializes in force of arms to balance the field rife with magic.

The Magefoil prestige class is most often pursued by members of combat-focused classes, especially fighters and rangers. Rogues sometimes pursue the path of the magefoil as a means to augment their natural talents for meddling and interference. Bards, clerics, and druids find aptitude in the way of the magefoil, but usually are more devoted to their chosen cause to alter the focus of their studies. Monks and paladins have been known to leave their single-minded paths to enhance their defenses against magic. Sorcerers and wizards have their own strong defenses against other mages, and find almost no reason to limit their casting abilities for some skill in arms.
